The Highlands
One of the last great wildernesses in Europe. A land of towering Munros, deep glens, and lochs that stretch to the horizon.
Scotland's Last Frontier
The Scottish Highlands stretch from the Great Glen to the far north coast, encompassing some of the most dramatic landscapes in the British Isles. Here, mountains rise to over 1,300 metres, glens carved by glaciers slice through ancient rock, and lochs hold depths that have inspired legends for millennia.
Loch Ness & Beyond
The Highlands are home to Scotland's most famous loch — Ness, where the legendary monster has captivated imaginations since 1933. But the region holds countless other treasures: the haunting beauty of Glencoe, the picture-postcard village of Plockton, the wild beaches of the north coast, and the ancient Caledonian pine forests of the Cairngorms.
The North Coast 500
Often called Scotland's Route 66, the NC500 is a 516-mile loop around the northern Highlands. Starting and ending in Inverness, it takes in some of the most jaw-dropping scenery in Europe — from the white sands of Durness to the dramatic cliffs of Dunrobin Castle.
